Partick Duck Club

Cocktail Bar | Glasgow | Scotland | United Kingdom

The Partick Duck Club is an independent restaurant located in the heart of Glasgow's West End, just a short walk from Byres Road. Established in April 2017 by Ross McDonald and Greig Hutcheson, who have previously worked in renowned establishments such as One Devonshire Gardens and Cameron House on Loch Lomond, the restaurant focuses on high-quality comfort food – exactly the kind of cuisine that the founders themselves enjoy.

The menu at Partick Duck Club offers a diverse selection of dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The kitchen is open all day, serving not only coffee, pastries, and desserts but also hearty meals. The restaurant is known for its relaxed and informal atmosphere, providing a welcome alternative to the venues in Finnieston.

The history of the name "Duck Club" dates back to 1810, when a group of Glasgow merchants, bankers, and professors regularly visited a tavern in Partick to enjoy roast duck with sage, onions, and green peas, accompanied by locally brewed beer. This tradition is reflected in the name and concept of the present-day restaurant.

The restaurant has quickly earned a reputation as one of the best spots for breakfast and brunch in Glasgow and beyond. It is known for its original dishes and use of high-quality ingredients.

Reservations are recommended for indoor seating at the restaurant, while outdoor tables are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Dogs are not allowed indoors but are warmly welcomed outdoors. For spontaneous guests, there are eight bar seats available where all meals are also served.

The Partick Duck Club offers an intimate and inviting atmosphere suitable for both casual meals and special occasions. The combination of traditional history and modern cuisine makes it a unique destination for food lovers in Glasgow.

Came for a brunch. Had the steak Benedict and breakfast roll. The Steak Benedict was a 24 hour marinated steak with you guessed it a poached egg. Personally wasn't a big fan. However it's a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff. Would definitely come back to try other foods!

Lots of foodie ideas for duck, both British and Asian, plus plenty of delicious non-duck choices

Let me start with highlighting how lovely this place's decor is. The staff is great, the atmosphere is superb. However... charging £10.50 for a cocktail that is technically a glass filled with ice and two sips of liquid... I call it extortion. I understand prices go up for venues, too, but what happened to value for price? I don't mind paying for my drinks, but the cocktail I had at this venue, even though delicious, was a huge disappointment.

This place is awesome and tucked right into the west end and if you go there at the right Saturday there is nothing better than a wee walk across the road to the farmers market

Really enjoyed our experience today. The kids had pancakes, husband and I ordered from the brunch menu with a bloody Mary. Food was outstanding. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.

A lovely restaurant in Glasgow's West End. The menu is delightful and varied. I had the bread with cheese spread and honey to start. Followed by the venison burger and parmesan chips. It was superb. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time.

Great place for brunch. Kiosks are a little tight though. Better to try and get a table with chairs.

The Partick Duck Club is a great spot in Glasgow! The duck fat chips are incredibly crispy and flavorful, and the burgers are top-notch—juicy and packed with taste. While it's a bit pricey, the quality and experience make it worth every penny. Highly recommend for a special treat!

Fantastic food. Would recommend the shredded duck bun. Coffee is lovely too. Seats are very upright and narrow, which makes breastfeeding tricky. Space to store the pram at the front door. Staff were lovely.

I thought duck was their speciality but every plate we ordered turned out to be perfect. Every plate stays true to its ingredients. I recommend all the plates we tried: tagliatelle (although I think the pasta can be softer), beef bourguignon, duck leg, fries with honey mustard mayo, and the side salad. The ambiance is excellent for a dinner setting, offering just the right amount of privacy.

There were 6 of us on a Sunday night for an early dinner. All meals were lovely except for my son's smashed venison burger. When it arrived at the table, it was on a small plate on its own with absolutely nothing else. No slaw, no fries, nothing. He was very disappointed. Food did not come with any veg, potatoes, or fries. Sweets were good except the burt cheesecake was not really burt, and the deep fried ice cream was not deep fried. Food should be as described on the menu or some explanation given as to why it is not.
